For those who are not familiar with the term “dosha” it is a reference to the forces or qualities that govern our unique body and mind type; our Prakruti. These forces are called Vata, Pitta and Kapha. We are all a unique combination of all three doshas but we usually have one or two that are predominate. According to Ayurveda, when our doshas are balanced they work together harmoniously and we are capable or attaining maximum health and vitality. When they are imbalanced, this is the underlying cause of all physical and emotional problems that can lead to disease. The purpose of this dosha test is to help you to determine your unique Prakruti in order to begin a journey of self-discovery that can help you take care of yourself in a way that promotes optimum wellbeing and nurtures your own natural beauty.
If after taking the dosha test, if you are still unsure which products are best suited to your skincare needs, please contact me either by phone or email and I will be happy to discuss your needs and answer any questions that you may have.
(Please note, when answering questions that have terms such as lighter, large, small, paler, darker, straighter, this should be used in comparison to someone of the same ethnic background.)

Mark the description in each column that most closely describes your traits throughout your life. Add up how many you have marked in each column, either Vata, Pitta or Kapha to determine your predominate dosha or doshas. This will help give you a base for your prakruti. Then take the test again, marking in the columns that are true for you now but have not been for most of your life. In this way you can determine in which dosha you may have imbalance at this time. For instance, if you have not had problems with dry skin most of your life but recently you have experienced dry skin, this could indicate an imbalance in that dosha that should be addressed in order to correct that imbalance and set things right. This questionnaire is designed to help you determine the best skincare products and services to meet your specific needs. If you have questions or would like further assistance please contact me and I will be happy to address your questions.
